The camping is fully immersed in the vegetation, under the shade of elm-trees and sweet-smelling robinians, at 300 mt from the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a large sandy beach. The "Camping Marina di Roma" is located in the middle of an important Roman and Etruscan turistic area.
At km 30 of the way Aurelia, in correspondence of the village of Palidoro is opened towards the west, in direction of the sea, the way of Saint Carl to Palidoro, that it finishes after 4 kilometers to Passoscuro. The name of Passoscuro, or Dark Step, derives from that one of a venatorio path, and it is found mentioned in one Short of Benedict XIII of 1724.
