The Camping Falterona, is located just along the fringest of the famed woodlands of the Casentino, the valley formed by the upper course of the Arno river, at an altitude of 806 mt. It extends for approx 10 hectars along a terrace slope, idea for tents, roulottes, and campers, either in the shade or exposed to the sun.
It is an ideal starting point for hiking though woods of firs, chestnuts and beeches, to ascend the Monte Falterona and discover the Arno springs. The landscape is also scattered with medieval castles and parishes, fascinating villages, which have been portrayed and described along the ages by painter and poets and culminate in the benedectine abbeys of Camaldoli, La Verna and Vallombrosa. The town of Stia, just 5 kms, is connected with Arezzo by regular rail lines.
Facilities offered: Bar service, light lunches, mini-market, barbecue, children-area, hot showers, volley-ball, ping- pong, badmington, tent rent, discharge, electric power. Camper stop. Pets are allowed.
