The La Finoria camping village is situated in a wood in which cosy wood and brick built chalets nestle, constructed to accommodate families and groups. The fully furnished chalets are equipped with bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms and an efficient heating system which also makes the accommodation comfortable in winter. Shady pitches, well-spaced from one another and delimited by areas wooded with chestnut and cork trees create a setting for the tents which combines the atmosphere of “camping in the wild” with the comforts of an organised campsite, with practical bathroom facilities and electricity supply in every pitch.
The car parking spaces in reserved areas maintain the natural peace and tranquillity which soon captivates our guests in the area of the bungalows and pitches. There is a small grocery offering organic products and “socially equitable trading” available to guests to purchase the indispensable. A characteristic restaurant, with a large pergola which looks over the Gulf of Follonica and the island of Elba, aims to recover the flavours of traditional Maremma dishes, while respecting traditional natural principles. The swimming pool and riding school in the village offer moments for collective recreation and relaxation.
La Finoria is open all year, as every season in the Maremma area offers opportunities for recreation and tourism and the climate allows this. Small medieval villages perched on the top of hills, the unspoilt countryside from the naturalistic point of view and a complex system of nature and archaeological parks offer opportunities which we will help you to exploit in constructing an itinerary to get to know the Maremma area. Inside the village you will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities, all free of charge, organised by the environmental and equestrian guides and by the staff of the village.
Thus you can try out your ability in recognising constellations during the evenings dedicated to star-watching, go for excursions in the surrounding area visiting natural and archaeological sites of great interest in the Maremma, enjoy a first approach to horse-riding during the free riding lesson offered each week at the riding school or surrender to the desire to try out free holistic, head-sacral and shiatsu massage treatments. Three afternoons a week there are educational workshops available for children inside the village, with the assistance of staff,
designed to develop manual skills and artistic interpretation. La Finoria is also able to offer accommodation in apartments in country houses situated inside the nature parks in the area for those who so require.
