Le Soline is a country hillside site with wonderful views of the Tuscan hills from its steep slopes.
Just 20 km south of Siena and 800m from the village of Casciano, it has 80 neat pitches for large units and 100 tents on seven terraces with 6A electricity. Many trees including olives provide shade for the pitches, most having views. Ducks wander the site whilst geese are the gatekeepers. ( In July and August there are some loveliness for adults and children and many free guided excursions includes a dip in the lake). The kind and attentive Broggini family spare no efforts in making your stay a pleasant memory and are extremely hard working to this end.
The elegant restaurant has an excellent menu (try the seafood - superb!) and the terraces look over the pool to the colourful hills beyond. The pools are clean with sunbathing areas, loungers and umbrellas. The site is well positioned to visit the many historic and cultural places in the area and will suit families looking for a peaceful break.
FACILITIES:
A good quality, heated sanitary block, facilities for disabled campers and hot water in the basins but showers are on payment. A few small private sanitary blocks are for hire. Motorcaravan services. Gas supplies. Laundry. Freezer for campers use. Restaurant, Pizzeria, well stocked Shop (15.03 - 10.11). Swimming pools (Easter - 15.10). Children's playground. Volleyball. Mini Football field. Ping Pong. Guided Excursions are organised in high season. Barbecue area (not allowed on pitches). Bungalows and Mobil-Homes for rent. Dogs admitted.
